November 18-21, 2025 Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center, Austin, TX 9:30 am ET swimming prelims/11:30am diving prelims/5:30 pm ET finals (Tuesday exception: 5 pm ET relay timed finals) Results on Meet Mobile as “Texas Hall of Fame Swimming Invite”Texas junior Erin Gemmell sprained her ankle just before midseason, and coaches tell SwimSwam that her status is up in the air for the remainder of the meet. Gemmell led off the Texas women’s 800 free relay tonight.
Gemmell swam to a 1:45.92 leading off tonight’s relay, about two seconds off her season best of a 1:42.64 that she swam a month ago in a dual meet against Tennessee. Also against Tennessee, Gemmell detailed her summer with Team USA as well as the arrival of fellow mid-distance freestyler Nikolett Padar. Padar swam to a 1:42.05 on the second leg for the Texas relay tonight.
The Texas women touched 3rd in the 800 free relay tonight with a 6:53.68, the #2 performance in school history. The program’s record stands at a 6:53.42 set back in 2018 at the NCAA Championships. Tonight, Stanford touched 1st in a a 6:51.07 while USC was 2nd in a 6:53.17.
The Texas relay also included freshman Inez Miller from Australia who has only raced the 200 freestyle once before this, as she swam to a 1:45.78 during the dual meet against Tennessee. The final relay member was Lillie Nesty who came home in a 1:41.91, notably faster than her 1:42.87 split that she swam at the 2025 NCAA Championships when the team finished 4th.
With Gemmell rested and healed, the relay has the potential to be a title contender come March, assuming all else stays constant or improves as well.
