He is now only 0.01 seconds away from breaking 20 seconds.
He took three tenths off his previous fastest performance of 20.32 from the 2025 NCAA Championships.

He passes Virginia’s Noah Nichols, who split 22.52 at the 2023 Tennessee Invite for the position. He also becomes the 6th fastest performer in history (no athlete appearing more than once in the top five).

On the women’s side, Stanford senior Torri Huske is out to a fast start. She split 21.88 on the fly leg of Stanford’s winning 200 medley relay to move into 7th all time and become the 3rd fastest performer in history.
