Maureen McCormick has joined the cast of a celebrity live table read of the holiday classic It's a Wonderful Life—but she’s not the only cast member with a Marcia Brady past.
The actress, who played eldest daughter Marcia Brady on The Brady Bunch from 1969 to 1974, will sit alongside Christine Taylor, who played the iconic Marcia character in The Brady Bunch movie series, for the 5th annual It’s a Wonderful Life Live Virtual Table Read, benefiting The Ed Asner Family Center.
The Marcia Brady stars will be joined by Taylor’s husband Ben Stiller, as well as Michael Shannon, Gregory Harrison, Tom Bergeron, Joe Mantegna, Robert Smigel, and Love on the Spectrum cast members Connor Tomlinson, Dani Bowman, Abbey Romeo, Madison Marilla, Subodh Garg, Tanner Smith, Chelsea Darnell, and Spencer Harte. Martin Short will read the part of Mr. Potter in the show, which will stream exclusively on Broadway Unlocked on December 14, per a PR Newswire press release.
Proceeds from the annual table support TEAFC programs for individuals with special needs and their families.
McCormick, 69, has a brother with special needs and serves as a Special Olympics Global Ambassador. The beloved Brady Bunch star posted to her Instagram story on Nov. 17 to announce her involvement in the table read benefit. “Thrilled to be part of this It’s a Wonderful Night!, a benefit for the @edasnerfamilycenter. Hope you will join us!” she wrote.

Taylor previously revealed she met McCormick at The Brady Bunch movie premiere and even posed for a photo with her.
“I grew up the biggest Brady Bunch fan. It was my after-school TV show, I knew every episode by heart,” Taylor said on Live With Kelly & Markin 2023. “I loved [Maureen], I wanted to be her. My mission in life right now is to become her friend, okay? We are not friends. ...I'm putting it in the world here.”

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, McCormick said she was impressed with Taylor’s portrayal of the Marcia Brady character. "I was sitting in the theater and a couple of times, I forgot that it was Christine," McCormick admitted. "The whole cast, they were amazing."
