November 8-12, 2025 Olympic Complex – Swimming Hall, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia LCM (50 meters) ResultsThe pool swimming competition at the 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games were headlined by a dominating showing from Turkey, topping both the gold medal count and overall medal table by insurmountable margins.
The Islamic Solidarity Games (ISG) bring in over 3000 athletes from 57 nations across the Islamic world.

Mert Ali Satir earned a pair of backstroke wins on the week. In the 50 back, Ali Satir narrowly untouched Iran’s Homer Abbasi to win the 50 back by just six hundredths of a second in 25.72. He doubled up on the sprint back wins, charging back from 3rd place at the turn to win the 100 back in 55.96.
Emre Sakci, the current world record holder in the men’s 50 breast (SCM), mirrored Ali Satir’s success with a sweep of the sprint breaststroke events. Sakci outperformed Turkish teammate Nusrat Allahverdi (NC State commit) in the 50 breast to take the win in 27.37. In the 100 breast, Sakci once again got the better of Allahverdi, turning in a winning time of 1:01.26. Sakci and Allahverdi were the only sub-1:02 performers in the event.
Berke Saka made it three-for-three on the backstroke wins for the Turkish men, winning the 200 back by over a full second, clocking 2:00.08. He also comfortably won the 200 IM, turning in the only sub-2:03 performance in 1:59.51.
On the women’s side, Turkey’s Sudem Denizli walked away with four individual wins. Similar to her Turkish male counterparts, she alone completed the backstroke sweep in Riyadh; in the 50 back, she finished over a half second ahead of the field to win in 29.07. The 100 back was a similar story, leading the 1-2 win for the Turkish team in 1:02.31, with Halime Zulal Zeren finishing 2nd in 1:03.62. In the 200 back, she once again ran away with the win, finishing nearly two and a half seconds better than the field in 2:15.27, with Zulal Zeren finishing runner-up again in 2:17.67.
Denizli also picked up the 200 IM victory, overwhelming the rest of the field with her winning effort of 2:18.13, almost five and a half seconds faster than the next closest finisher.
Kazakhstan’s Sofia Spodarenko earned two of the country’s three gold medals in Riyadh; in the 50 fly, Spodarenko narrowly reached the wall first over Egypt’s Farida Hisham Osman, earning the win by five hundredths of a second in 26.99. She won the 100 fly in slightly less decisive fashion, winning by just under half a second over Defne Tanig of Turkey (1:02.05), clocking 1:01.66.
