I think for the most part, we Bears fans and followers have come to the realization that Caleb Williams is indeed very good and very talented. While he might not be a finished product or done growing as an NFL quarterback yet, we’ve seen quite a few flashes and clutch moments, especially in the Ben Johnson era, to have faith that we likely have our quarterback of the future.
Good news, Bears fans. We’re not alone! Actually, we’re in pretty good company! Raiders star edge rusher, who gave the Bears fits a few weeks ago, had some very high praise for Caleb Williams and Ben Johnson on the most recent edition of his podcast, The Rush:

This feels like a good time to remind folks that Maxx Crosby made it abundantly clear to NFL on FOX insider Jay Glazer that he does not want to be traded and wants to stick it out in Las Vegas. So much so that Glazer mentioned that Crosby told him that personally on the FOX NFL Sunday episode before the trade deadline. This isn’t to say that things can’t change. But I wouldn’t get my hopes up. OK, back to Matt’s terrific post!)
Maxx Crosby Has High Praise For Caleb Williams & The Bears
Now, I will suggest listening to the whole podcast, or at least the entire portion talking about the Bears, that part starts at about the 22:00 mark. Crosby, though, mostly says that he thinks Caleb WIlliams has all the ability in the world, and while he and his team are still growing, they’re headed in the right direction under Ben Johnson. He also had some comments on Darnell Wright and the left tackle situation, which is something he’d be quite familiar with, having opposed the Bears’ offensive line a few weeks ago.
While Maxx Crosby isn’t the end-all-be-all of NFL and quarterback knowledge, it’s nice to have some of Caleb’s peers, and some really good ones at that, acknowledging how talented he is and how far he’s coming along under the leadership of Ben Johnson.
