2026 Ivy League Dual Meet Showdowns: Princeton Leads Rankings After Week 1

The 1st full week of the Ivy League Dual Meet Contest is behind us, and the current standings have Princeton sitting at the top on both the men’s and women’s side.

    Coming into the weekend only the women had rankings. Harvard was 1st at 1-0 after their Halloween win against Brown, while Brown sat in 2nd, and Yale was 3rd.

    Pre-Weekend Standings

    Harvard 1-0 Brown 1-1 Yale 0-1

    On Friday, the Penn and Columbia women raced in Pennsylvania, and Penn came out on top, scoring 193 points to Columbia’s 109. Their meet was highlighted by the Quaker women taking every single event win. Penn also set a few new pool records with Sophomore Kayla Fu (200 free- 1:48.57), Kate Levensten (100 back- 53.78), and Brianna Cong (200 back- 1:59.28) along with the 200 medley relay (1:39.10).

    This win improved the Penn women’s Ivy record to 1-0, which will leave them tied with Harvard, while Columbia will drop to 0-1.

    On Saturday, there were a few meets. Dartmouth hosted Princeton and Brown for a double dual meet while the men’s teams for Penn and Columbia raced.

    The Princeton men and women both swept both dual meets, and are now undefeated in the Ivy League at 2-0. The Princeton women set seven new pool records while the men set 10 at the Karl Michael and Spaulding Pool in Hanover.

    Brown came out on top of Dartmouth in both the men’s and women’s meets, which means both teams are sitting at .500 in Ivy League competitions.

    The Columbia men earned a very close win over Penn, with each team winning eight events to be separated by just over 30 points.

    This coming weekend will see a number of different Ivy League Dual meets as most of the schools are racing at some point. The meets will start on Thursday with the Brown men racing the Yale men.
