OCVarsity will be covering the news and events on the first “Signing Day” of the school year on Wednesday, Nov. 12.
Some of the top athletes in Orange County will be taking part in this signing period that is open for boys and girls athletes in the Class of 2026 in all sports except for football, which has its signing periods in December and February.
The athletes will be signing agreements with an NCAA school that guarantees financial aid. (The NCAA no longer uses the National Letter of Intent.)
In Orange County, some schools will be holding large celebrations on campus for their Class of 2026 athletes who, after graduating, will be moving on to compete at the four-year collegiate level.
Schools and coaches can send OCVarsity their college signing news and list of signees to [email protected].
The lists can be sent beginning Tuesday, Nov. 11. The information won’t be published online until Wednesday, Nov. 12, at 8:30 a.m.
Athletes and their parents can also email their signing day news to [email protected]. (Please include the athlete’s name, high school, college signed with and include the words “Signing Day” in the email header.)
