Farmers’ Almanac Ending After More Than 200 Years in Print

Farmers' Almanac announced that it will end its more than 200-year run with its current 2026 issue.

The publication will "live on in the way that millions of readers share the bits of wit and wisdom they gleaned from the Almanac," Almanac editor Sandi Duncan said in a statement to ABC News, as they come to an end after 208 years.

Duncan continued, "Its spirit and true goal of spreading a way of thinking — one that values simplicity, seasonal wisdom, and the amazing gifts from nature will live on for eternity thanks to our fans and readers."

The final edition was released in August, and online content will remain available through the end of 2025.

Farmers' Almanac was founded in 1818 and is known for its long-term weather predictions as well as advice on gardening, fishing, cooking, and more.

"We are incredibly proud of the legacy we leave behind and grateful to our loyal staff, readers, contributors, and partners who have supported us through the years," Duncan told ABC News.

It seems the Almanac is going out with a bang, as its predictions for the upcoming winter state Texas can expect "wetter-than-average" months, while the Pacific North West and Great Lakes region are looking forward to a "classic winter wonderland."
