Syria’s Minister of Energy Mohammad al-Bashir held a series of high-level meetings on Monday with executives from Total, Chevron, Siemens, and Saudi Energy during his participation in the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC 2025). The talks focused on expanding partnerships and investment opportunities in oil, gas, and renewable energy.

Minister al-Bashir discussed with international delegations ways to strengthen cooperation in exploration, production, refining, and infrastructure development, as well as examining projects in renewable energy and advanced power generation technologies.

    “Syria is keen to strengthen cooperation with global companies to advance modernization and sustainability goals,” said Minister al-Bashir during the meetings in Abu Dhabi.

    The minister affirmed that Syria seeks to develop effective partnerships that modernize the national energy sector, enhance efficiency, and support sustainable development strategies.

    The meetings were attended by Deputy Minister for Oil Affairs Ghiath Diab and Deputy Minister for Electricity Omar Shaqrouq.

    Syria is participating in ADIPEC 2025, which kicked off on Monday in the United Arab Emirates under the theme “Smart Energy for Accelerated Progress.”
