FORT COLLINS — The Ali Farokhmanesh era for Colorado State men’s basketball got off to a victorious start Monday night.

The Rams didn’t let up in the second half, taking a 20-point lead at 47-27 on a 3-pointer by Josh Pascarelli 1 1/2 minutes in. CSU then extended that advantage to 30 points at 67-37 after a pair of free throws by Jon Mekonnen with 10:59 left.
CSU will be back in action Sunday, when the Rams host Omaha at 4 p.m. following the CSU women’s game against Long Beach State at 1 p.m.
