The final straw was a 10-3 loss at home to Kentucky on Saturday night, dragging the Tigers to just 1-5 in conference action this season.
The Auburn family will now await Freeze’s replacement. Auburn athletic director John Cohen is set to speak with reporters on Monday, as is interim head coach DJ Durkin. Auburn is expected to conduct a national search to find its next head coach.
