The International Exhibition for the Reconstruction of Syria, IMAR 2025, concluded, Saturday evening, at the Damascus Countryside Fairgrounds.
The event featured participation from 260 companies representing 23 countries, under the patronage of the Ministries of Economy, Industry, Energy, and Public Works and Housing.
Mohammad Hamza, Director of the Syrian Institution for Exhibitions and International Markets, stated to SANA that this year’s edition saw notable participation from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Iraq, Egypt, and Jordan, in addition to companies from friendly nations.
Mahmoud Al-Maghrabi, General Manager of “Sklco” for Investment, Real Estate Development, and Metal Construction, praised the high caliber of the exhibition, which he said reflects Syria’s transition from devastation to stability and economic activity. He added that the company’s participation yielded positive outcomes, particularly in reaching new understandings, proposing projects, and strengthening ties with government entities.
Mohammad Sayed Issa from “Riyadh Cables Group” affirmed the company’s interest in entering the Syrian market, citing high demand for cables due to damage sustained by the electrical networks over recent years. He emphasized their full readiness to invest and revealed plans to establish a direct industrial investment in Syria soon, backed by the company’s expertise and management.
Sultan al-Jahouri from the “National Energy Center” in Oman described the exhibition as a fruitful opportunity for exchanging ideas and said that during the event, they engaged with several companies and potential partners with the aim of reaching future agreements.
Rajab Guzal from the Turkish “Service Exporters Association” stated that the exhibition saw strong attendance from construction firms, opening the door to broad cooperation opportunities between Syrian and Turkish companies, especially in the building sector.
Spanning four days, the exhibition served as a strategic platform for economic and investment cooperation. It showcased the latest projects and plans related to the reconstruction phase, with a particular focus on the energy, industry, construction, and infrastructure sectors.
