ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester City School District is looking at different vendors to address the ongoing payroll system issues affecting district employees.
Superintendent Dr. Eric Rosser is in the early phase of finding a replacement platform because of the persistent issues with the current Oracle system, according to a release from Board President Camille Simmons.
In the release, it says this phase includes looking for other vendors to find one best fit for the district and one that will prioritize the district’s needs.
On Thursday, Rosser said he inherited this problem and is feeling everyone’s pain. He says he is committed to fixing it.

Also on Thursday, a school board meeting was held where RCSD employees pleaded for solutions. One employee said they “need to get rid of this broken system,” while another said they couldn’t believe they still are asking to be paid.
