Crawfish Aquatics’ Andi Clement has verbally committed to Iowa State University as a part of the Cyclone women’s 2027 recruiting class.
Extremely excited and grateful to announce my verbal commitment to Iowa State University! I want to sincerely thank my family, coaches, and friends who have supported me throughout this entire journey. A special shoutout to Crawfish Aquatics – Coach Thomas Clavier and Coach Lyndsey Clavier – your guidance over the years has meant the world to me. I truly couldn’t have done it without you. Huge thanks to Coach Matt and Coach Morgan for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to be a part of such an incredible program. I’m beyond proud to join the Cyclone family for the next four years.
Clement hails from Lafayette, La, where she represents Southside High School. She claimed her first two Louisiana High School Division 1 State titles as a sophomore, sweeping the sprint freestyles, clocking 24.09 in the 50 free, and 52.92 in the 100 free. The following year, Clement repeated as 50 free champion, finishing in 23.78. Her 100 free was faster than the year prior in 52.92, but dropped a spot, finishing runner-up as a junior.
She spent her freshman year at Ed White High School, where she captured a Louisiana High School State title in the 100 free in 54.83.
One of Clement’s best short course performances came at the Louisiana Senior State Championships in March. There, she set four lifetime bests, including the 50 free (23.49), 100 free (51.17), 200 free (1:55.08), and 50 breaststroke (30.04).
Clement has also been named to a pair of USA Swimming Scholastic All-American teams.

50 Free: 23.49 100 Free: 51.17 200 Free: 1:55.08 100 Breast: 1:05.65The Iowa State women finished 10th at the 2025 Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championships last season.
Based on Clement’s best times, she would have finished tied for 38th in the 50 free, 34th in the 100 free, and 57th in the 200 free.
Clement has improved year over year, and that is a very positive sign for her future progression in the NCAA.
Her times would have competed well with last season’s Iowa State roster,
With her mix of freestyle and breaststroke skill, she will be able to contribute in a multitude of ways for a Cyclone team looking to rise in the Big 12 Conference.
Clement is currently the lone publicized recruit for the Cyclone women’s 2027 recruiting class.
