The Greeley Bears youth hockey program hit the road for a busy couple days this past weekend, as its club season continued.
The Greeley 10U Gold and Blue Bears traveled to the University of Denver to compete in the 2025 Pioneer Classic Rectoberfest Tournament. They faced the DU Junior Pioneers (Crimson and Gold), Woodland Park Panthers and Pikes Peak Catamounts.
Both teams went undefeated through the semifinals and advanced to the championship against each other. After a hard-fought game, the Blue team brought home the trophy.
The Greeley Bears Blue secured another win, 6-0, against Arvada Black. Benjamin Rosales, Braydon Lawley, Cole Miller and Alexander Rohnke produced goals. Grayson Cortina recorded the shutout in goal.
The Bears 12U Gold team went 1-1 in back-to-back games against the Laramie Outlaws and NCYH Maroon. The Bears received goals from Brooks Law, Aiden McFarland and Jordan Garcia, who had a third-period tying goal in the tie.

Mason Ingle, Jaxson Frezza and John Bailey scored goals, with Frezza recording a hat trick. The same Bears team played a second game against NCYH Navy and tied 2-2 with goals by Dakota Ketz and Ingle.
The 18U Greeley Bears team remained unbeaten with a 4-2 win over Lafayette with goals by Bradly Rainwater, Jaiden Holpuch and Adriano Gallegos in the victory.
The Greeley Bears/GYHA is an affordable, nonprofit, recreational club for young athletes, 5 to 18 years old. It plays in the Colorado Recreational Hockey League and is an affiliate of the Colorado Amateur Hockey Association. It is also a member of USA Hockey.
