Sorry, ladies, he’s taken! The Los Angeles Dodgers’ dreamboat pitcher Tyler Glasnow hopes to win a 2025 World Series ring — and then put on a wedding ring.
Glasnow, who will take the mound for the Dodgers on Monday night’s game 3 of the World Series against the Toronto Blue Jays, plans to marry his fiancée Meghan Murphy in November. In fact, the wedding preparations are well under way for the baseball starting pitcher, 32, whose handsome face has been compared to Oscar-winning Oppenheimer star Cillian Murphy.
Glasnow met another Murphy, beauty Meghan, in an adorable way when he played for the Tampa Bay Rays, two years before he joined the Dodgers. Now the two are close to tying the knot. Born on August 23, 1993 in Santa Clarita, California, Glasnow was a standout righthanded pitcher for William S. Hart High School. He was drafted out of high school by the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2011. After spending time in the minor leagues, Glasnow made his major league debut for the Pirates on July 7, 2016. He was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays in 2018 and spent six seasons with the Florida baseball team. Following the 2023 season, the Rays traded Glasnow to the Dodgers. The athlete known for his dark lion's mane of hair was part of L.A.’s World Series winning squad in 2024, although he didn't play in the postseason due to a sprained elbow. Who is Meghan Murphy?
Murphy was born on July 14, 1993 and is 32 years old. Glasnow has reportedly said Murphy is a former Miss Nebraska, but that is unconfirmed. What is known is that she currently works in the health care field. Murphy graduated from the University of Florida in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in health and earned a Master of Medical Science in physician assistant studies from Nova Southeastern University in 2020.
As of spring 2025, Murphy was working as a physician assistant and aesthetic injector "specializing in injectables, threads and lasers" at Marcadis Watt Plastic Surgery & Med Spa in Tampa.
At a baseball stadium, natch! In 2021, Glasnow was undergoing rehab for a pitching injury at a Rays game and was instantly attracted to Murphy in the stands.
Glasnow told his Dodgers teammate on the podcast On Base with Mookie Betts in May 2024, “She was sitting like in the front few rows, and I was like, ‘She kind of looks cute.’ This is really creepy but I was [saying to the Rays team photographer], ‘take your crazy camera and zoom in on this girl. I want to see if she’s cute or not.’ And he zoomed in and I thought she was cute and so I wrote my [phone] number on a ball and I gave it to a bat boy. The bat boy ran it over to her.”
But Meghan didn’t respond right away, as Glasnow recalled “she didn’t text me or anything. Then she came back the next day, wrote her number on a ball, and came up behind the dugout and threw it at me. She was like, ‘You text me. I’m not going to text you.’ And I was like, ‘Oh, that’s kind of nice.’ ”
How did their first date go?
Impressed by Murphy’s sassy attitude, Glasnow did text her! He took her on a dinner date and was further impressed when she dove into the appetizers with gusto. He told Betts on his podcast that Murphy was “very genuine, wasn’t nervous or weird or anything.” He liked her nonchalance: “She didn’t care at all.”
He also told The Los Angeles Times, “That was the first time I’ve ever thrown a ball to someone [with my phone number on it], too. And I still don’t think she believes me.”
What else has Glasnow said about his girlfriend?
In the L.A. Times interview, the pitcher said, "She has a really good personality, loves to travel and is really fun, so it’s super easy.” Also, Glasnow revealed on The Chris Rose Rotation podcast, "We're like the same person. She's very similar to me. We understand each other well. She's the most chill, non-drama person I've ever met. She's the least stressed- out person that I know." According to Glasnow, Murphy comes from a huge family in which they all keep each other humble.

Before meeting Murphy, he explored Greece, Paris, Copenhagen, Prague, Amsterdam, Thailand, Indonesia, and Mexico.
Murphy is just as adventurous, and since getting together, they’ve seen elephants, lions, tigers and zebras in South Africa. They’ve also visited Zimbabwe, riding the gorge swing over the Zambezi River at Victoria Falls, and Peru, where they hiked to the famed Machu Picchu Incan ruins.
How has Murphy gone public with their love?
For Glasnow’s bobblehead giveaway night on June 1, 2024, Murphy joined the pitcher’s parents, Donna and Greg, on the field and threw out the ceremonial first pitch. With Glasnow acting as her catcher behind the plate, Murphy playfully mimicked his wind-up move.

How did they get engaged?
The cat was out of the bag last October when Murphy was caught in photos and videos following the Dodgers 2024 World Series win kissing Glasnow while wearing an engagement ring. She also flashed the sparkler on the team’s float during the parade through L.A.

That happened in August last year [2024].”
He added, “I was super nervous when I did it, but it was super fun. I’m glad we did it. Now we’re just planning it all. In the future, you got the wedding and then life and then kids and all that stuff.”
Glasnow said that they planned to marry this November after the Dodgers season is done. The only question is, will he be wearing a second World Series ring by that time as well?

Yes! On her Instagram account in September, Murphy wrote, “the sweetest bridal shower” as a caption for a photo of herself in a netted white dress. Another picture in the series showed Murphy sporting a comical white veil with photos of Glasnow attached to it. Dodgers’ WAGs showed love for Murphy in post comments, with catcher Will Smith’s wife Cara writing, “Our perfect bride.”

How is wedding planning going?
“Meghan's doing a lot of stuff, yeah, I'm helping when I can, certain things with the food and all that stuff," Glasnow told podcaster Chris Rose. "It's nice to sit down and do it with her, but she's been doing a really amazing job with it. It's a smaller wedding, it's not super crazy." Still, the player said the wedding will be on a private island and they will fly their own private chef there!
Generous Glasnow said they don't want wedding gifts and he’ll be paying for all the guests’ rooms and travel to the destination wedding.
