Dancing With the Stars All-Stars season champ Melissa Rycroft could find herself serving time behind bars if she's convicted of DWI. Rycroft was arrested in Dallas, Texas, on Sept. 23, on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, according to TMZ.
Now, Us Weekly reports that Rycroft, 42, has been charged with a misdemeanor in the case. The outlet confirms that prosecutors "filed a criminal complaint" against the former reality star, with evidence that her blood alcohol level was "0.15 or more at the time."
Per the Texas Department of Transportation, a person facing a DWI charge for the first time can expect up to a $2000 fine, loss of driver's license for up to one year, and anywhere from three days to 180 days behind bars, if convicted.

Rycroft has not issued a public statement about her arrest, though she did reportedly reply to someone who left a comment on one of her recent Instagram posts.
"I made the same mistake over 2 years ago because of a perfect storm of bad events…Don’t ever forget that you are beautiful, loved and blessed," a fan's comment read. "Most of all, you are human. Things happen. Life happens. Be grateful that it wasn’t worse and move forward with grace."

"Thank you. Life really sucks right now and I’m struggling, but I’m trying to march forward….but thank you for the sweet words in what seems like a world of negativity," Rycroft wrote in a since-deleted comment, according to People magazine.
Rycroft and her husband Tye Strickland are parents to three young children.
