The No. 20 Texas Longhorns are coming off a massive comeback win over the Mississippi State Bulldogs in Week 9 that kept their season alive, and now they have another massive test ahead of them this Saturday with Diego Pavia and the No. 9 Vanderbilt Commodores coming to town.
This meeting between the Longhorns and the Commodores is sure to have some major postseason implications for both teams, and the status of star Texas quarterback Arch Manning appears to be in doubt for the game.
According to ESPN analyst Pete Thamel, Longhorns’ head coach Steve Sarkisian told the media during his presser that Manning did not practice on Monday, and is currently in the concussion protocol.

Texas was able to pull out the win with backup quarterback Matthew Caldwell coming in for Manning, and they could be forced to rely upon the former Troy Trojan once again this Saturday.
If Manning is unable to pass the concussion protocol, then Caldwell will be asked to lead the Longhorns to victory against one of the best teams in the country.
