Micky Dolenz, 80, is the last remaining member of the iconic group The Monkees. He recently took some time away from performing to embrace his role as a grandfather.
An Instagram post from Dolenz's daughter, Emily Dolenz, showed him with two of his grandchildren in the kitchen, tackling some cooking tasks. Emily has two children, a son, Huxley, and a daughter, Beatrix Wren. Both were excited for what she noted was "Cooking time with Gramps."

He noted that in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, his kids were worried about his health and encouraged him to hold off on traveling. Once it felt a bit safer, Dolenz and his wife made it a priority to visit family.
Riff noted that in the past, he had handcrafted an art workstation desk for one of his grandchildren. Another grandchild received a wooden toy house he made, and another project was a fire station he created.
