BRIGHTON, N.Y. — As the Toronto Blue Jays take on the Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series, the Brighton community continues to show support for Brighton native Ernie Clement.
Game one of the World Series took place Friday night, with the Blue Jays beating the dodgers 11-4.
Before the game Friday, Clement sent a message to the Brighton Central School District, who wore Blue Jays gear to school to show support.

Ahead of the World Series, Superintendent Kevin McGowan, and one of Clement’s former teachers, Sue Martin, shared their excitement in a social media post.

Brighton School District students and staff aren’t the only ones celebrating Clement. On Friday, Donuts Delite shared on Facebook that they had specialty doughnuts with Clement’s face on them.
Game two of the World Series is set to take place at 8 p.m. Saturday in Toronto. On Facebook, Sheffield Tavern in Brighton posted they will be hosting a watch party during game two to show support for Clement.
Sheffield also said they will be hosting a watch party for game four of the World Series on Tuesday at 8 p.m.
