ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Do you have any unwanted or expired medications lying around?
If so, there will be various places in the Rochester area Saturday where you can drop off unused or expired prescription drugs as part of National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
On the DEA website, it says drug take back day is a way for people to safely dispose of prescription drugs, and educate people about the potential abuse of medications.
Locations will be taking any tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid forms of prescription drugs from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday. See a list of some of the drop-off sites in the Rochester area below.
Tops Friendly Markets Pharmacy
All 54 Tops Pharmacy locations serve as prescription drug drop-off sites year-round during normal pharmacy hours. Find your nearest Tops location here.
Wegmans Food Markets
Wegmans is partnering with local law enforcement agencies to host prescription drug drop-off events. Various Wegmans stores will serve as drop-off sites.
