DENVER (KDVR) — Part of Interstate 70 near East Colfax Avenue is closed, and smoke is rising nearby after a crash on Friday morning.
Just before 9 a.m., the Colorado Department of Transportation reported that I-70 in both directions was closed at U.S. 40; East Colfax Avenue due to a crash.
Sources told FOX31 that two semi trucks collided and are on fire.
I-70 MP 289.15 EB at EB I-70 Ramp to E-470 (COtrip)At this time, it's unclear what caused the crash and if there are any injuries.
