ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A 19-year-old is facing charges after Rochester Police say she shot a 17-year-old on Shelter Street at the beginning of October.

On Oct. 5, police say they found a 17-year-old girl with a gunshot wound to her lower body on Shelter Street. The 17-year-old was brought to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Police say through investigations, they learned that during a fight in the street, it is believed that Christiana Nartey pulled out a handgun and fired multiple shots, hitting at least one person.
Nartey turned herself in on Wednesday according to police. Nartey was charged with attempted murder and weapon charges. She was arraigned and being held without bail at the Monroe County Jail.
