CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. — The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office is set to give an update Wednesday in the case of a former Geneva Police Officer accused of selling Adderall while on duty.
Back in May, Michael Tapscott, who was also a former Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) instructor, was arrested and charged with felony criminal sale of a controlled substance and official misconduct.
Deputies say Tapscott sold dextroamphetamine, a form of Adderall requiring a prescription, while in uniform and driving a marked police car.

Tapscott worked for the Geneva Police Department for 13 years. Prior to Tapscott’s arrest, News10NBC learned he was placed on administrative leave.
