They’ve done it! The Chicago Bears have just secured their fourth consecutive win. It is the first time this franchise has accomplished that feat since 2018. Do I care that the streak has come against the Cowboys, Raiders, Commanders, and Saints? Not one bit. We, on the whole, have been through a lot since then … so I am not going to take it for granted when this team goes on a winning streak. It was ugly, but the result was certainly enjoyable.
FINAL: Chicago Bears 26, New Orleans Saints 14 (ESPN BOX SCORE)
Thoughts on the big win at Soldier Field
Oct 19, 2025; Chicago, Illinois, USA; Chicago Bears running back Kyle Monangai (25) runs the ball against the New Orleans Saints during the first half at Soldier Field. Mandatory Credit: David Banks-Imagn Images This win was all about grit, determination, and proving a point to doubters. In one moment, it was the much-maligned running game making things happen with D’Andre Swift (19 carries, 124 yards, 1 TD) and Kyle Monangai (13 rushes, 81 yards, 1 TD) carrying the load. And in another, it was a defense that has gone from being gashed at every turn in the early part of the season to forcing turnovers and making splash plays. It was nice seeing (arguably) the two weakest links on this team be the reason Chicago emerged triumphant. I did not have Caleb Williams throwing up a dud performance against the Saints on my Week 7 bingo card. Things had been building up for Williams to have a signature day, but he never got it going. Calls for Tyson Bagent to fill in (yes, I read your comments and replies on social media during games!) for Williams were unnecessary. However, QB1 has to get back in the lab so he can make some improvements.CHICAGO BEARS WEEK 7 INSTANT GRADES
The timeline for the construction of a new Arlington Heights stadium is still fuzzy. With that in mind, it would behoove you to enjoy a rare win where “Bear Weather” played a role while you still can. Sloppy conditions led to messy play throughout the game from both sides. But it was Chicago’s team, which just won on the cruddy field in Washington calls home, braving the elements to pick up a win. FOUR. IN. A. ROW. The last three haven’t been pretty. But they weren’t all going to be oil paintings. You would rather win ugly than lose in an aesthetically pleasing way, right? Anyone who says they’d rather not is a dirty liar and shouldn’t be allowed in your inner circle.Week 7 highlights

Caleb Williams — Here is the line for QB1 now that this game is in the books:
15/26 172 yards 0 touchdowns, 1 interception 61.7 passer ratingCaleb Williams played a sloppy first half against the Saints, posting the following line after intermission: 8/17, 97 yards, 0 TD, 1 INT, 40.6 passer rating. Things didn’t get much better for Williams, who will return to the drawing board this week with an eye on making some corrections after a clunker at home. I look forward to seeing how Caleb bounces back from this one.
Oct 19, 2025; Chicago, Illinois, USA; Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams (18) throws a pass against New Orleans Saints cornerback Alontae Taylor (1) during the first half at Soldier Field. Mandatory Credit: David Banks-Imagn ImagesLuther Burden III — It is impossible to grade Burden fairly when his quarterback didn’t give him much to work with, but he did have a nice 22-yard grab. There was just nothing happening with Chicago’s passing game. Based on the data at our disposal before the game, I did not see this performance coming.
Dennis Allen — We got a masterclass performance from Chicago’s defensive coordinator. Four takeaways. A turnover on downs. Four sacks. Seven tackles-for-loss. Seven quarterback hits. Nine pass breakups. That defense was flying around Soldier Field on Sunday afternoon. I know the DC wasn’t looking at this one as a revenge game, but his players performed like they were out to do the dirty work on Allen’s behalf.
WHAT’S NEXT: vs. Baltimore Ravens at noon CT on Oct. 26 in Baltimore (CBS-TV)
The Bears hit the road to face a Ravens team that is riding a four-game losing streak and is coming off the bye. We’ll be keeping an eye on the status of Baltimore quarterback Lamar Jackson, who has missed the team’s last two games due to a hamstring injury. Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith is expected to return from injury, too. A tough task gets that much tougher as Baltimore gets healthy. But I think Chicago’s football team will be up for it.
