STRICTLY star Amber Davies is in no danger of succumbing to the show’s curse — as she has befriended her dance partner’s girlfriend.
The West End performer and former Love Island contestant, 29, says she is good pals with Ukrainian pro Nikita Kuzmin’s model missus Lauren Jaine.
She has also introduced her actor boyfriend Ben Joyce to Nikita and Lauren.
Amber said: “I’ve met Nikita’s girlfriend. I love her, she is so supportive, so easy-going. She met Ben and my sister too. It was lovely.”
Over the weekend, Lauren hit back at people who said they “hope” Amber and Nikita are hit by the BBC show’s famed curse, where relationships get ruined after performers fall for each other.
She posted: “Please be respectful to the real-life partners and let them have a good experience of the show too.”
Amber and Nikita, 27, impressed the judges in Movie Week on Saturday – scoring an impressive 35 for their American Smooth to Sixteen Going on Seventeen from The Sound of Music.
It put them second on the leaderboard.
But a source said: “Despite her experience she’s told friends she’s not complacent and not allowing herself to look too far into the competition – she’s taking it one week at a time.
“As for the curse, she’s madly in love with Ben and he is 100 per cent supportive of her. They are both performers and know how to block out the noise. They have zero doubt the curse won’t touch them.”
They added: “Amber and Lauren get on really well. They swapped numbers early on.”
In a TikTok live video, Amber revealed Ben watches her rehearsal videos every day.
She said: “He is always like ‘let me see the tapes from today’. Sometimes Ben will make me bits and bobs for lunch. Contestants can stay in hotels but I don’t before a live show. I want to be in my own bed with my dog and my boyfriend.”
