Elsewhere, Georgia, LSU and Tennessee each slid up a spot thanks to Oklahoma plummeting from No. 6 to No. 14. Missouri only went down two spots following its loss to the Crimson Tide, while Vanderbilt rose up three while on a bye week.

Preseason No. 1 Texas also jumped back into the rankings following its statement win over the Sooners, as the Longhorns slid in at No. 21 as one of 5 new entrants.

The latest AP Poll for Week 8:

Mississippi State was the only other SEC team to receive votes with 8.

It is also worth noting that the league makes up half the top 10 for the second straight week, although no SEC teams have been able to crack the top 3.
