Long Barn, CA – A family dispute erupted into a stabbing in Long Barn, and a woman has been arrested for attempted murder.
Tuolumne County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the residence on Wednesday (10/8) around 9:19 p.m., after a woman reported that her fiancé had been stabbed by a family member, 66-year-old Catherine Childers Scotto. The victim’s relationship with Scotto was not disclosed.
Once on the scene, deputies found the victim face down on the ground, bleeding from a stab wound on his back.
“The victim told deputies Scotto had been drinking alcohol and began an argument over residency at the home,” according to sheriff’s spokesperson Ashley Boujikian, who added, “During the argument, Scotto stabbed the victim with a knife.
