A MAJOR UK motorway is closed following two crashes.
Morning commuters are stuck in gridlock traffic on separate sections of the M60 this morning.
There are delays between junctions 24 at Denton Island and 25 at Brinnington, and queues are tailing back past junction 23 at Ashton-under-Lyne.
A post from the Inrix traffic monitoring service said: “M60 clockwise partially blocked, slow traffic due to accident from J24 A57 (Denton Island) to J25 A560 Crookilley Way (Brinnington).”
Elsewhere, drivers are facing delays following an incident on the motorway near Swinton, with the clockwise carriageway “partially blocked” around junction 15 for the M61.
