AUSTIN (KXAN) — A police response in Pflugerville turned into a SWAT situation after a person refused to leave a residence.
According to the Pflugerville Police Department, officers responded to a report of a barricaded subject. The call was near The Club at Wells Point.
At 5:45 a.m., police said it was an active scene, and they could not provide other information. By 7:35, police said a suspect was in custody.
A KXAN reporter at the scene said a part of Settlers Valley Drive was closed due to the police presence.
The scene is near Pflugerville Middle School and Spring Hill Elementary School, but Pflugerville ISD said there was no situation on either campus and “no cause for alarm regarding student safety.”
