Evil Dead in Concert brings live horror and orchestra to Million Dollar Theatre

The cult horror phenomenon “The Evil Dead” is coming to downtown Los Angeles this Halloween weekend in a new way, with a live orchestra, immersive scare zones, and a century-old movie palace turned into a haunted cinematic experience.

Presented by IL Events, Street Food Cinema, and Black Ink Presents, Evil Dead in Concert will run for three nights, Oct.30 – Nov.1, at the Million Dollar Theatre. The event is part of the production’s first-ever national tour, which pairs composer Joseph LoDuca’s score for Sam Raimi’s 1981 horror classic with a full seven-piece orchestra performing live to film.

The Los Angeles experience adds an exclusive twist: The Cellar – An Underground Evil Dead Experience, a new immersive horror attraction staged beneath the theater and designed by Burbank’s Mystic Museum. Visitors will encounter live scare actors, atmospheric sets drawn from the Evil Dead universe, and photo ops alongside themed cocktails, full bars, and local eats from Grand Central Market.

Tickets for Evil Dead in Concert start at $45, with VIP packages available for $75. Doors open at 4:30 p.m., and the screening begins at 8 p.m. nightly. Tickets and more information are available at streetfoodcinema.com.

Hosting all three nights are the Croes Bros, viral creators Gil and Jay Croes, whose online following averages around 66 million. Known for their breakout horror series “Uncanny Brothers,” the duo will welcome fans into The Cellar and share behind-the-scenes moments from the event on social media.

Originally released in 1981, “The Evil Dead” follows a group of college students who unleash demonic forces after discovering the Necronomicon. The film became a cornerstone of indie horror and spawned a long-running franchise that continues to influence the genre.
