Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Sectionals finalist Meghan Brady has announced her verbal commitment to compete for Northeastern University in Boston beginning in the fall of 2026.

“I’m so excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Northeastern University! I want to thank my coaches, family, and friends who have helped me get to where I am today! I’d also like to thank Coach Roy and Coach Katie for giving me this opportunity! GO HUSKIES!!”

A native of New York, this will mark Brady’s fourth season swimming with the Sayville Bayport-Blue Point girls’ varsity swimming and diving team, a regional swim team in the Sayville Public Schools district. Brady also currently trains year-round with Three Village Swim Club, where she primarily specializes in sprint free, back and IM.

Brady turned in a handful of strong performances at the Ithaca Sectionals (SCY) in late March, earning a second swim in two events. She finished 28th in the 100 free (52.53) and 30th in the 200 free (1:53.46). Brady also contested the 200 IM, clocking a time of 2:17.88, and was a member of Three Village’s ‘A’ relay teams for the 200, 400 and 800 free relays and the 200 medley relay.

At the 2024 ARENA Holiday Cup in December, Brady posted multiple season-best and personal best performances. She placed 2nd in the 200 free (1:51.39), 5th in the 100 free (52.22), 7th in the 200 IM (2:09.21 – PB) and 12th in the 200 back (2:09.24 – SB). She also helped her team to a 10th-place finish in the 200 medley relay, clocking a new lifetime best in the 50 back (28.48) as the leadoff on the relay.

Over the summer, Brady competed at the Futures Championships (LCM) in Greensboro, clocking lifetime bests in three events. She raced the 50 free (27.65), 50 back (33.42) and 50 fly (30.44), posting personal best times in each event. Brady also contested the 100 free (59.40) and 200 free (2:11.10).

    Best Times SCY

    50 free – 24.94 100 free – 51.70 200 free – 1:51.29 100 back – 59.93 200 IM – 2:09.21

A Division I Mid-Major program, Northeastern competes in the Coastal Athletic Association, with the Husky women taking 4th overall at the conference championships last season. Based on the results from the 2025 Coastal Athletic Association Championships, Brady would have landed in the ‘B’ final in the 200 free and would have been just outside the cutoff in the 100 free. With another year before she arrives on campus, Brady could improve her times even further and seems to be in a good position to be a contributor for the Huskies when she joins the team next season.

The list of recruits currently set to join Brady in Boston next fall includes Maddie Fox, Molly Lind, Emily De Amicis and Morgan Harland, who should all make for strong training partners over the next four years.
