The victim provided a description of the suspect vehicle, and officers used an automated license plate reader recognition system to track down the car.
The driver refused to pull over, and officers pursued the vehicle northbound on Interstate 880, police said.
The chase ended in San Leandro, where the four occupants of the car got out and tried to run away, according to police.
Officers quickly arrested the suspects and found the victim’s property inside the vehicle, police said.
During the pursuit, the driver was involved in one non-injury collision on I-880 and two non-injury collisions on surface streets in San Leandro, according to police.
