The Voice continues its Blind Auditions with singers so good they get four-chair turns as they impress coaches Reba McEntire, Michael Bublé, Snoop Dogg and Niall Horan with their vocal abilities.
Tuesday night, it was 24-year-old Kirbi from Florence, AL, that had the coaches battling it out to get her on their team after her performance of “God Only Knows” by For King + Country.
“Me and my grandmother actually loved this artist. So it's really exciting getting to sing one of their songs,” Kirbi said, taking the stage. “If a chair turned for me, it would absolutely change my life. I have never done anything like this before. I want this opportunity to prove myself to me and to the rest of the world that I do have what it takes, and I can do this. I am ready to get'er done!”

Niall was the first to speak following Kirbi’s performance. He told her, “We wait all day for voices like yours. This is absolutely incredible. From second one, I was all in. The vocal delivery you just gave there was next level, and I have a feeling you would look very cute in this. [Holds up his tam gift hoodie.] We've had some major success in this show in previous seasons. So while they're talking to you, just have me here in the back of your mind because I’ll take care of you.”
Reba was next to welcome Kirbi to The Voice. But instead of pitching herself, she asked, “What is your favorite genre of music to sing?”
Kirbi answered, “I grew up singing country and blues, so you know we got that in common a little bit but my faith is a big part of who I am, too, so I was so excited to come on here and share that with you guys.”

“Wow!” Reba responded. “You've got the whole package. You're absolutely beautiful, you sing absolutely beautiful, you sound very grounded for as young as you are. But we're so proud to have you here. Best of luck.”
Next up to woo Kirbi to his team was Michael, who tried to bond with her over song choice.
He said, “My faith is really important to me, too. I love that you chose that song. I love your control; I love your tone. I feel like if I turned on the radio and I heard you, I would know it was Kirbi. There's nothing that can stop you from singing all kinds of genres from jazz to pop to country, any of it.”
Niall interrupted to add, “It's like there’s a rock rasp in there as well at the end of your phrases that was really cute.”

Michael continued, “I think I'm a good coach and I'd love you to consider joining Team Mike.”
And last to make his bid to Kirbi was Snoop, who said, “I want your mother to come on stage. Your mother did such an amazing job with keeping you grounded and raising you the right way. She should be commended, so that's why I want her to stand by your side while I say what I'm going to say to you. The music that you chose and the way that you stand on your faith is beautiful. The world that we live in right now with so much negativity, and for you to stand for what's right, I applaud you for that. No matter what team you pick, you're part of a real family that is strong in faith.”
Then it was time for the big decision. Michael posed the question, “Kirbi, who would you like to be your coach this season?”
Kirbi said, “I think the coach that I would like to work with… I'm gonna go with Niall.”
“Kirbi has an interesting voice,” Niall said. “It’s soft in some places, piercing in others. I was on a losing streak, but I seem to be coming out on top.”

Kirbi then explained her choice, saying, “I think Niall’s a good coach because he's kind of stood where I stood before. He's going to be able to coach me through the nerves.”
Kirbi lives on her mother’s flower farm in Alabama, which also has chickens that are raised for their eggs and babydoll sheep.
“I love being on the farm,” she says. “It is really peaceful, and I like to go out there and write songs. Sometimes I'll sing to the animals. I think Cruella [her favorite chicken] likes it, but I don't know about the others. I think they might only like me when I bring food.”
The Voice airs Monday and Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC. Streams next day on Peacock.
