It may be April Fool's Day but the quarter-final line-up at the Tour Championship is certainly no joke.
The cream of the snooker crop are at Manchester Central this week for the penultimate event of the 2025/26 World Snooker Tour season, which brings together the top 12 players on the one-year ranking list.
Ronnie O'Sullivan pulled out ahead of the tournament and four players exited in the first round but eight stars of the sport remain to compete for the winner's share of the £500k prize fund and the last title ahead of the World Championship.
The top four seeds – Neil Robertson, Zhao Xintong, Mark Selby, and Shaun Murphy – enter at the quarter-final stage after being given a bye.
Wednesday will see the opening sessions of Robertson v Barry Hawkins and Xintong v Chris Wakelin, while Murphy and Judd Trump will play out their quarter-final. John Higgins continues his title defence against Selby tomorrow.

The Tour Championship 2026 starts on Monday 30 March and runs until the final on Sunday 5 April, with live TV coverage on 5.
Fans can tune in to watch live coverage daily from 12:30pm on 5 throughout the tournament. On weekdays, coverage moves to 5Action at 8pm but for the semi-finals and final, coverage will remain on 5 for the evening session.
There will also be coverage from the second table on the first four days of the tournament, which will be shown on a dedicated Tour Championship channel.
Viewers can tune in to watch 5's coverage online and on a range of platforms, including mobile, laptop, and tablet.
The broadcaster has taken over from ITV, which means coverage of the WST event remains on free-to-air TV.
