SAN JOSE — A Milpitas teen was arrested this week on suspicion of shooting a gun near a Sikh temple and adjacent school in the Evergreen hills back in February, authorities said.
The gunfire claim was not immediately reported; police were alerted in March about a Feb. 23 disturbance near Sikh Gurdwara, in the 3600 block of Gurdwara Avenue. The report described a clash between “male juveniles that led an alleged negligent discharge of a firearm,” San Jose police said in a news release Tuesday.

Police said the investigation uncovered a series of videos, alleged to have been taken in Milpitas by the suspect or an acquaintance, showing a person repeatedly firing an semiautomatic pistol into the air and at a wall.
On Sept. 25, San Jose police said its SWAT team located and arrested the suspect at his home in Milpitas. The teen was booked into Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall on suspicion of multiple gun crimes, including discharging a firearm within 1,000 feet of a school, police said.
