Queens Iconic 1975 Hit Climbs the Global Music Charts Again

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last 50 years, there’s a solid chance you’ve heard Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody.” After all, it’s often regarded as one of the greatest songs of all time.

Released on October 31, 1975, the six-minute epic was written by Queen frontman Freddie Mercury.

“Bohemian Rhapsody” was Queen's fourth single and their first to reach No. 1 on the U.K. Singles Chart, where it remained for nine consecutive weeks, including the Christmas No. 1 spot.

In the United States, the song initially peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100. Despite its relatively modest debut, it became Queen's first Top 10 hit in America.

As of Monday, September 29, “Bohemian Rhapsody” has re-entered Billboard’s Global 200 at No. 189.

“ I don’t think we’re done. And I don’t think we’re gonna say, you know, final farewell tour or whatever. ’Cause it never is, is it?” Taylor told the publication.
