Manchester United are reportedly considering a fresh approach for Everton defender Jarrod Branthwaite, according to a report on Caught Offside.
The report states that the Red Devils are weighing up whether to approach the highly-rated 23-year-old this winter, but would only be willing to pay £60m for his services.
Considering Branthwaite only signed a new long-term deal at the Hill Dickinson Stadium this summer, the Toffees would almost certainly want a figure far higher than that if they are to sanction the sale.
The defender is yet to make an appearance for Everton this season due to a hamstring injury, and the Red Devils will want to see how he performs on his return to the starting XI before paying a huge fee.
If United do sign Branthwaite, then it could spell the end of Harry Maguire's time at Old Trafford. The former Leicester defender's contract expires in the summer, so United could elect to cash in in January.
Chelsea target Dusan Vlahovic
Could Dusan Vlahovic end up in the Premier League this January? Photo by ImagoDusan Vlahovic could be a man in demand this winter as Juventus are keen to cash in on the Serbian striker before his contract expires at the end of the season.
The latest club to be linked with a move for Vlahovic are Chelsea, with a report in La Gazzetta dello Sport stating that the Blues are considering launching a bid in January.
Due to Vlahovic's precarious contract situation, the Blues wouldn't need to pay over the odds for the player, but Juventus are keen to create a bidding war, with Man Utd and Bayern Munich listed as two other possible destinations.
The chances of Vlahovic now renewing his contract in Turin are said to be non-existent, and despite his hot start to the season (five goals in seven apps for club and country), he is expected to be benched.
Aston Villa consider Wilson Isidor
Could Wilson Isidor leave Sunderland in January – Photo by ImagoAston Villa will reportedly make a bid for Sunderland striker Wilson Isidor this winter, according to Football Insider.
The Villains, who have made a desperately poor start to the new season, reportedly believe that Isidor could be the answer to their problems in front of goal, particularly as Ollie Watkins is now said to be unhappy at Villa Park.
Isidor has started the new season in excellent form for Sunderland, and was the best player on the pitch when the Black Cats played Villa last weekend.
The report states that Villa will need to pay £35m in January if they are to be successful in their pursuit of the 25-year-old, who joined Sunderland for just £5m last winter.
