Sam Hartman will have plenty of options if he doesn’t cut it in the NFL.
The Washington Commanders quarterback has garnered a reputation as something of a heartthrob since arriving as an undrafted free agent in 2024.
After starring at Wake Forest and Notre Dame, Hartman hasn’t played a down in the NFL, but he sure looks good in burgundy and gold.
Hartman’s trademark jet black hair and beard have seen him branded the ‘best looking player’ and ‘most handsome man’ in pro football, as well as winning plenty of admirers.
But his fans may have some adjusting to do after beat reporter Scott Abraham shared a video of Hartman running through drills minus his facial hair.
Fans were quick to pounce on the viral video, suggesting that the QB should be playing Superman or playing an NFL passer in a Hollywood movie.
He drew plenty of comparisons to Keanu Reeves‘ character in The Replacements, as well as Gaston from Beauty and the Beast.

Hartman’s chiselled good looks have caught the attention of offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury.
The coach was asked about a quarterback room that includes starter Jayden Daniels, backup Marcus Mariota, and third-string Josh Johnson.

“And [assistant quarterbacks coach] David Blough as well, the assistant quarterbacks coach, just truly good guys that like each other. … Just phenomenal people above all else, hard workers, professionals and they’re truly a joy to be around every day.”
