Praise Law & Order: SVUSeason 27 is finally on the horizon—and with it, the return of Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay), Elliot Stabler (Chris Meloni—and more on that in a minute!) and the potential for #Bensler to finally happen.
Equally, if not more importantly, it brings back Sgt. Amanda Rollins (Kelli Giddish) fulltime after she was relegated to a recurring character in Seasons 25 and 26.
Giddish previously told Parade that the series' new showrunner, Michelle Fazekas—who previously wrote for Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in prior seasons—will take good care of the beloved characters.
"I'm super excited to see what she puts on the page for us to play with," Giddish gushed. "She was a writer on the show back when it was in the single digits. And now she's back to head us up and give us some fun stuff."
