Priscilla Presley almost lost her son, Navarone Garcia, days before her daughter, Lisa Marie Presley’s death, after experiencing a near-fatal animal attack.
The former wife of the late Elvis Presley, 80, recalled visiting an animal sanctuary owned by a friend in the San Fernando Valley of California. However, things turned grim when a camel bit Navarone.
"We were petting them, and the next thing that happened was the camel bit him in the head," Priscilla told People in a story published on Friday, September 19. "There was blood spurting everywhere. The blood was covering Navarone's face. I'm literally freaking out. I thought I was going to lose him, for sure."
Thankfully, a German Shepherd that lived on the property came to Navarone’s defense by attacking the camel, which then backed off.
"He was very, very lucky I was told," she told the outlet. "The doctor said [the camel's tooth almost hit] his brain. So, he's not around anymore camels. Neither am I."

Navarone suffered a serious head injury, and the opening in his head was closed shut with 34 staples.
While speaking on Lisa’s death days after Navarone’s incident on January 12, 2023, the family matriarch admitted that her “heart would be totally broken” if she lost both of her children in such a short span of time.
"When I lost Lisa, I thought, 'I'm not going to be able to get through this,’” Priscilla told the outlet. “But I realized I have a son that needs me. As a mom you have to be there for your children."
Lisa died of a small bowel obstruction following complications of a prior bariatric surgery at 54 years old. She is survived by children Riley Keough, Harper Vivienne Ann Lockwood and Finley Aaron Love Lockwood.
Priscilla welcomed Lisa during her marriage to Elvis. She shares Navarone with ex Marco Garibaldi.
