    Week 3 Storylines to Watch

These angles are on my mind ahead of the Bears’ Week 3 game against the Cowboys…

Let’s keep an eye on the offensive line — Theo Benedet took some snaps in garbage time at left tackle at the end of the Bears’ Wee 2 loss to the Lions. It would behoove us to keep an eye on the position as the game develops. Will Chicago’s coaches use Benedet in rotation with starter Braxton Jones? That doesn’t seem ideal. But if things don’t get better quickly, then the Bears will have to start throwing ideas at the wall and seeing what sticks — for better or worse.

Free hot dogs for 4 Caleb Williams TDs — I hope Caleb Williams saw this tweet (or read this post) before taking the field on Sudnay:

If Caleb throws 4 TDs on Sunday, we will give away free hot dogs on Tuesday

    — The Wieners Circle (@TheWienerCircle) September 19, 2025

Chicago’s football fans deserve nice things. And I don’t think it gets much nicer than a four-tuddy performance from QB1 and a freee hot dog from The Weiners Circle.

This is a big week for GM Ryan Poles — I don’t think Poles is in line to lose his job just yet. After all, he signed an extension back in July. However, his hand-picked players need to start contributing soon. Otherwise, will need to begin having discussions on how to navigate with a GM who could be the factor holding back a team’s development. Heck, there is a part of me that is ready to have those conversations right now. WIth that being said, a win on Sunday against the Cowboys could help ease things.

Four important players who aren’t Caleb Williams:

Tyrique Stevenson, cornerback Joe Thuney, left guard Gervon Dexter Sr., defensive tackle Colston Loveland, tight end
