Over the weekend, the former rapper turned country singer’s 16-year-old daughter, Bailee Ann, attended her Senior Homecoming, and Jelly Roll, as well as his wife, her stepmother, Bunnie XO, couldn’t have been more emotional over the teenager’s major milestone.
“Don’t mind me.. crying in the car ?….,” Bunnie XO, who is also stepmom to Jelly Roll’s other child, a son named Noah Buddy, 8, from a previous relationship, captioned a clip on Instagram that showed her getting nostalgic over the reality that Bailee Ann is no longer a little girl.

“So this is a big night for us. This is her Senior Homecoming. This is [her] last one of high school. I’m an emotional mom right now,” the proud stepmother and Dumb Blonde podcast host, 45, says in the video, posted on Saturday, Sept. 20.
She later added, “Please tell me how to deal with this. I remember getting [Bailee] ready for her daddy/daughter dance in sixth or seventh grade. Now it’s Senior Homecoming, and then she’s gonna leave? I’m eating because I’m so stressed out. Then she’s gonna be leaving for fricking college, and it’s like, bro. I did not think it was gonna hit this hard.”
The video post included footage of Bailee Ann getting ready and applying makeup to her face as Bunnie XO, whose real name is Alyssa DeFord, joked about whether she could chaperone the dance. Bunnie XO also appeared to assist in helping her stepdaughter put on her dress, heels, and various accessories.
Along with showcasing her look of the evening, which included a body-hugging corset dress, strappy gold high heels, a matching necklace, and dangly earrings, Bailee Ann’s date made a cameo in the clip. While unnamed, he looked dapper in a tuxedo while carrying a handful of roses as Bailee Ann made her big reveal, walking down a staircase.
Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason DeFord, wasn’t in the video, but he did share his thoughts in the comment section of the post, writing that he “watched this 10 times and it keeps getting better.”
“I love our little family,” the “Save Me” singer wrote before adding, “BRB - Crying - and dealing with early empty nest syndrome. Bunnie, it's baby time."
“@jellyroll615 aww sweet soul. Working on it,” Bunnie XO replied.
Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO Have Been Open About Their IVF Journey
Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO, who tied the knot in 2016, have previously opened up about their wishes to expand their family with a biological child. They’ve also shared their in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment journey with the public.
Since embarking on the difficult journey in the summer of 2024, Bunnie XO has stepped back from being in the spotlight with her husband recently to focus on herself following what has been an up-and-down process of trying to get pregnant over the last year.
“[I’m] going through all of the emotions, the rollercoaster, the worry, just so that I can have a little piece of my husband and me,” she explained, according to E! News. “Just a little piece wrapped in skin to add to the other two beautiful children that we have together.”

Jelly Roll and his daughter have a strong bond. The singer, who spent many years incarcerated before becoming a big-time superstar, previously said he had to build his relationship with Bailee Ann after getting out of jail.
"I got home when she was almost 2," he explained in an interview on the Smartless podcast, according to PEOPLE. "Her mother, at the time, because I was rightfully so a f------ criminal, wouldn't let me see her. So I had to go to court. I had to get supervised visits through the courtroom. I had to step that very slowly, build a relationship, then six hours on Friday evening, but she had to be home before 10 p.m. I just had to keep going to the court every six months and going, 'Look, I'm continuing to prove I'm changing.’ Music, like being famous, wasn't even a thought then. I just wanted to be a good dad."
"Fast forward, that same little girl that was born when I was incarcerated is fixing to turn 17 years old," he added. "She's got one of the highest GPAs at her high school. She's a dual enrollment kid and is a junior going to college. Me and my wife have had full custody of her for eight years. This is one of our best friends."
