Fans Are Losing It Over Noah Centineo’s Alleged Disney+ Subscription Stunt

Did Noah Centineo buy Disney+ just to immediately cancel it?

Fans are convinced so after the actor posted a suspicious screenshot to his Instagram Story on Friday, Sept. 19. In the photo, viewers can see the message Centineo received from the steaming service after cancelling his subscription. However, the note confirms Centineo can use the platform up until Sept. 18, 2026.

This means Centineo either had a yearly subscription that renewed every Sept. 19 — or he bought a yearly plan with Disney+ just to immediately cancel it.

Centineo captioned the post "Save money today." The Instagram Story has since expired or was deleted.

Centineo is one of many celebrities calling for a boycott of Disney-owned brands after ABC pulled Jimmy Kimmel Live! from air indefinitely on Wednesday, Sept. 17. Disney is the parent company of ABC.

When Centineo's alleged stunt made its way to Reddit, fans slammed the actor for giving money to a company he claims to be boycotting.

"Saying he never used Disney+ would have been more of a flex," said one commenter. "What an insanely dumb form of attention seeking, holy s--t." wrote another.

"You still gave them your money bro ? It would be bigger flex if he said he never subscribed Disney..." added a third.

Others believed that the actor meant well, and found the entire debacle to be amusing.

"His heart was in the right place?" said one fan alongside a laughing GIF. "It's so funny [because] if he just bought it for a month it would've been totally fine lol." added another.

One user defended the actor, saying his yearly subscription automatically renewing could've been his reminder to cancel.

"It could have just auto renewed but he definitely should have thought better than sharing this when it just shows his just paid them for a full year." the comment read.

Representatives for Centineo did not immediately respond to Parade's request for comment.
