Riding high off his handful of Emmy wins, Seth Rogen will continue his small-screen run on yet another hit show.
The Studio star and co-creator, 43, will appear in season 2 of Nobody Wants This, Variety reports.
Fellow comedian Kate Berlant was also just announced to guest star in the upcoming installment of Netflix's hit romantic comedy series, led by Kristen Bell and Adam Brody. Berlant, 38, has appeared a number of shows including The Bear, The Other Two and Search Party. On the big screen, she has co-starred in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Don’t Worry Darling and more.
Season 2 of Nobody Wants This, which will drop on the streamer October 23, will also feature guest stars Leighton Meester, Miles Fowler, Alex Karpovsky and Arian Moayed, as previously announced.
This past weekend, Rogen stole the Primetime Emmy Awards spotlight with his hit Apple TV+ series and its record night. The Canadian funnyman won best actor in a comedy while sharing awards for best directing for a comedy with Evan Goldberg and best writing for a comedy alongside Goldberg, Frida Perez, Peter Huyck and Alex Gregory.
By the end of Sunday night, Rogen tied the record for most Emmy wins by a single person in one night. Meanwhile, The Studio broke the record for the most wins for a comedy in a single year after winning best comedy series.
Last month, the Pineapple Express star was asked on Watch What Happens Live about a possible sequel to his iconic stoner comedy from 2008, which also starred James Franco.
“Maybe,” Rogen said about reprising his Pineapple Express character. “We can probably sell it to streaming or something.”
He also suggested there could be “big demand” for a sequel before teasing, “You never know. I don’t know. I’m not great with sequels. It’s not where my mind goes, but maybe one day.”
