ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A $72 million project that aims to provide affordable housing, including for veterans and people facing homelessness, is now complete in downtown Rochester.
Center City Courtyard replaces a former parking lot at Plymouth Avenue and West Main Street. The five-story building includes 164 apartment units, including 95 with supportive services. The apartment complex aims to be affordable for those who make 80% or below the area’s median income.
Veterans and people facing homelessness will have access to on-site services from Helio Health, the Urban League of Rochester, and Eagle Star Housing. The building also features a rooftop solar array, free internet, a fitness center, a fifth-floor terrace, and a landscaped courtyard with seating areas.
Multiple New York State agencies and programs have helped to support the project.
