Work involves modernisation of the 201 rail line, running between Maksymilianowo and Kościerzyna in the country’s north west.
The line forms part of the Baltic-Adriatic Corridor and the Trans-European Transport Network, known as TEN-T.
Strabag will reconstruct 38km of track, build four railway bridges, one road bridge, a road viaduct, modernise three platforms and create a railway flyover across the intersection of freight lines 201 and 131.
Station renovation work will increase capacity and allow freight transport to travel to the port of Gdynia.
Péter Glöckler, a member of Strabag’s management board in south and east, said: “Poland has become one of Strabag’s most important markets alongside Germany and Austria, particularly in infrastructure construction.”
Construction is due to be completed in December 2029.
