MARRIED At First Sight bosses have given a fresh glimpse into the new series with a teaser trailer and there’s plenty of drama in store – including a singing groom.
It comes after The Sun exclusively revealed the return date for the E4 series – as well as a huge shake-up.
The new MAFS trailer kicks off with loved-up statements and romantic settings, with one groom who declared: “The purpose of life is to be loved.”
Another bride then gushed: “I’ve been waiting for this moment for my entire life.”
The voiceover then declared: “Get ready for first glances and first dances.”
The camera then panned to Aberdeen-based bride Sarah stating: “Oh my God,” as she walked down the aisle.
Yet there was more to come courtesy of team building host Dean.
He is seen telling her “this is a little song,” before bursting into shaky lyrics which stated: “We will build a life together for you and me.”
The congregation were seen with their head in their hands as the tune continued.
It remains to be seen if the pair remain an item through the series.
Ahead of the show, hopeless romantic Dean told how he was so determined to find his dream girl that he once flew all the way to Venice for a first date.
After being single for a year, Dean admitted he hoped the experts would help him find a soul mate who will match his zest for life.
ON AIR
We can report how the hugely popular series returns next weekend, on Sunday September 21st at 9pm.
What’s more, this series will run nightly from Sundays to Wednesdays for its first few weeks on air.
Previously, the show aired Mondays to Thursdays, so the addition of Sundays will be a new treat for viewers.
And they will be hoping to witness just as much drama as last year, which featured Kristina Goodsell discovering her husband lived in the woods and had a fake set of teeth before their heartbreaking split played out.
Mafs couples that have stood the test of time
Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby.
The pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam’s Doncaster home.
Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau.
Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December.
Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: “I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out – and excited for everything to come.”
Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019.
Owen recalled: “I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work.
“While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in.
“The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if I signed up?’
“A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.”
Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson.
Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna’s vegan lifestyle, the show’s first same sex pairing are still going strong.
They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod.
Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: “We’re not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship.”
It also saw former couple Sacha and Ross – the show’s first ever deaf contestant – struggle to find a location of where to live before he dumped her two weeks after filming.
We also told of a never-before-seen feature which will launch the series with a bang.
The show will now be following the couples through EVERY stage of the process — including their hen and stag dos.
WELL GROOM-ED
Meanwhile, The Sun revealed the new line-up for MAFS 2025 on Sunday night and it includes one star who has already been seen on TV.
It showed that one particular groom has already secured telly fame – and dated a TOWIE star.
Divarni Groce Balogun is one of this year’s handsome grooms ready to tie the knot with the woman of his dreams.
But the musician hailing from London is no stranger to the cameras.
He has featured in Netflix shows Half bad, Riches and Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story as well as in The Marvels but he has also appeared on reality TV before.
The singleton starred on a celebrity version of ITV’s popular dating show Dinner Date back in 2021.
Divarni, who went by his stage name Ashley on the show, was one of five hopefuls ready to show off his culinary skills and win a date with none other than Towie’s Chloe Brockett.
Additionally, MAFS bride Julia-Ruth Smith previously appeared on the ninth series of global matchmaking competition Are You the One? in 2023.
She has also worked as 50 Cent’s backing dancer.
