Lilly Liebmann, an Illinois High School Sectionals qualifier has verbally committed to Valparasio University for the fall of 2026.
“I am very excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Valparaiso University. I’d like to thank my family, coaches, and friends who helped me get here. Let’s go Beacons!”
Liebmann is from Belleville Illinois, and she will follow in her brother’s footsteps on the Beacon team. Eli Liebmann will be a senior this year for the Beacons, and, though he will graduate before his sister arrives on campus, the Beacons will have eight straight years with a Liebmann on the team.
Lilly swims for Seahawks Swim Club and Belleville High School West, and in November, she qualified for the high school Sectionals meet in the 100 breaststroke and 200 IM. At the meet, she set a new personal best time of 1:14.63 in the 100 breast to finish 10th overall. In the 200 IM, she swam 2:24.01 to finish 7th.

100 breast- 1:14.58 200 breast- 2:40.06 200 IM- 2:23.39 400 IM- 5:01.46Valparaiso competes in the Missouri Valley Conference, where they finished 8th last year behind Evansville.
Liebmann will help add depth to the team in the breaststroke and IM events with her 200 breast being her highest ranking event on the team last year at 4th overall.
