In case you missed it, the Chicago Bulls officially unveiled their second-ever Ring of Honor class on Friday afternoon. Horace Grant and Bill Cartwright headline the group, with Neil Funk also becoming the franchise’s first broadcaster to be recognized.
The official halftime ceremony will be held on November 20 when the Bulls face off against the Washington Wizards.
“…and I wonder if $20 was the middle point because the difference was really the qualifying offer…” is a fascinating way to look at the compromise Josh Giddey and the Bulls reached on Tuesday, @Will_Gottlieb. t.co/JYQuq55Hm0
— Drew Stevens (@Drew_H_Stevens) September 12, 2025 Jake Fischer of The Stein Line has taken a Jonathan Kuminga sign-and-trade off the table for the Chicago Bulls. To be sure, I think most of us assumed that the Bulls wouldn’t go down this road, but rumors did tease the idea throughout the offseason. There is no question that Kuminga fits with this front office’s “young players with experience” mentality. Especially for a team that just needs high-upside talent in the building, it probably would have been easy for many to talk themselves into a Kuminga pursuit at the right price. Nevertheless, the forward appears destined to play at least one more season in Golden State. With that said, Fischer still suggested that the Bulls could be a solid landing spot for Kuminga if he chooses to accept the qualifying offer and hit unrestricted free agency next summer. Time will only tell if this proves true. He will surely need to have a strong season with the Warriors to make a free agency push worth it. Even then, we can’t ignore the presence of both Matas Buzelis and Noa Essengue. Developing those two could be that much harder with Kuminga in the mix. Jake Fischer also reiterated during a Bleacher Report livestream that Coby White is expected to seek $30+ million next offseason. For what it’s worth, we wrote about this a couple of weeks back. If the guard puts together the season many expect, reaching this number shouldn’t be a problem. He will likely enter the market as one of the top names, making it that much harder for the Bulls to keep him in town. That’s why the trade rumors could start back up sooner than later. Losing him for another would be a disaster for this front office. I had some fun and shared my top Bleacher Nation Fantasy picks for Week 2 of the NFL season! I’d love it if you gave it a read!
